Hi, hello and can I say a huge massive thank you for taking an interest in my wedding photography.
It means a lot that you’ve taken the time to read what I’m all about
My world turned on its axis a few years back, the catalyst was a deep-rooted feeling, knowing that I was in the wrong career and a desperate need to do something else.
Someone once said to me that the very definition of madness was to do the same thing, day in day out while expecting a different result. How very true!
Shortly after I received an unexpected gift from my sister. Something ignited that’s been burning brightly ever since, my passion for photography, for stories and most of all, for people.
My interest in people, their makeup and stories was evident in my younger years. I studied all the ‘Ologies’ at college; Psychology, Sociology and even Criminology for a while. I went on to study interior design, unleashing my creative side but firmly put it back in the box with a career in sales and technology.
Many years later I become a mum to my brilliant son Jensen, he’s the love of my life, an absolute joy and a pleasure to photograph! Shortly after, I returned to work part-time which allowed me to cut my teeth taking pictures of Jensen, nephew and my friends children. Learning technique and practicing my wedding photography every spare second of the day became the ‘norm’.
Seeking the best possible advice, training and experiences has been essential to my growth and I am incredibly proud to say that I’ve had the opportunity to learn from Kay Young and the team at Aspire Photography, the Nikon school and the amazing Kate Hopewell-Smith to name just a few.
My confidence grew and with that, I was asked to photograph a friends wedding. That was it, I was hooked and soon I had the beginnings of my fledgling photography business.
First and foremost I am a people photographer. I am moved by feelings and experiences, emotion and connections.
It’s been a long road to discover what kind of photographer I want to be. Distinctive, thoughtful and trusted.
If that’s the photographer you are looking for then please, get in touch, I’d love for us to work together to create something beautiful.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
